Ellen has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years and has practiced in many different fields of nursing over the years. She was a consultant in the field of Medical Aesthetic Cosmetics prior to opening up SeaMist MedSpa.
In February 2008, Ellen opened SeaMist in the beautiful South County Commons shopping center in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. Ellen has always had interest in setting standards of excellence in the industry and establishing guidelines for practice in the state of Rhode Island. Ellen has been awarded a certificate for training and instruction for medical professionals in injectable procedures in the tri-state area for the last 5 years by Allergan, the makers of Botox and Juvéderm. Mary Christina Simpson MD
Dr. Simpson has been providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care in Rhode Island since 2004. She completed her residency at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence where she received specialized training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. A graduate of Bowdoin College with a degree in biochemistry and psychology, Dr. Simpson continued education at Boston University, earning a Master’s degree focusing on women’s health anatomy. She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and National Board of Medical Examiners. She has provided full women’s health services to the community of South County for the last 10 years most recently in the role of Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at South County Hospital. She has experience with the conventional and alternative treatments of menopause, including hormone replacement and laser therapies. A native Rhode Islander, Dr. Simpson lives in East Greenwich with her husband and four young children.
