SeaMist is Rhode Island’s leading Medspa. We offer our services in two locations in Rhode Island. Our first facility is located in beautiful South County Commons in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. Second facility is in 5 Merton Road in Newport, Rhode Island. Our state-of-the-art treatment rooms are second-to-none and offer a safe and comfortable atmosphere to feel and look your best.

The facilities at SeaMist MedSpa are well suited for our various treatments including Botox, Dermal & Facial Fillers like Voluma, Vollure, Vobella, Juvaderm, as well as treatments like CoolSculpting with the latest technology, Laser Hair Removal, Skin Tightening as well as Medical Grade Peels (chemical peels), facials, and waxing.

MEET MARY CHRISTINA SIMPSON MD

CEO / OWNER / MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Dr. Simpson is the CEO, physician, and medical director of SeaMist MedSpa. She is dedicated to her practice of medicine and developing unique, long-lasting relationships with her clients. Dr. Simpson is passionate about involving her patients in their own care and educating them about their overall health and wellness. This relationship solidifies trust and helps clients to achieve their ideal results.

Dr. Simpson has provided comprehensive women’s healthcare in obstetrics and gynecology in Rhode Island since 2004. In 2018, she expanded her practice to include aesthetic medicine and helps women and men with aging gracefully and naturally. She completed her residency at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, where she received specialized training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. A graduate of Bowdoin College with a degree in biochemistry and psychology, Dr. Simpson continued her education at Boston University, earning a Master’s degree focusing on women’s health and anatomy. She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has provided full women’s health services to the community of South County for the last 12 years, in the past as the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at South County Hospital. She now continues as an Ob/Gyn at Women and Infants Hospital.

Now, as the Owner Physician at SeaMist MedSpa, with much focus on preventative care, facial balancing, and body contouring, Dr. Simpson uses techniques involving multiple modalities, including skincare, body contouring, neuromodulators, dermal fillers, skin tightening, and resurfacing to help women and men achieve their best re-vitalizing results. With her natural artistic eye and medical expertise, Dr. Simpson will help guide a treatment plan to help clients become their best selves! A native Rhode Islander, Dr. Simpson lives in East Greenwich with her husband and four children.

Jessica Cameron

Jessica

Director of Operations and Growth

Jessica brings SeaMist MedSpa 15+ years of experience in management, customer service, digital and print marketing, brand acquisition, scaling growth for expansion, and business development. She owned and operated four retail brick-and-mortar businesses before joining the SeaMist team. Jessica has extensive experience in e-commerce, merchandising, budgeting, construction management, commercial real estate and overseeing all operations of a multiple-location business. As Director of Operations and Growth, Jessica runs operations and business development for SeaMist MedSpa. Her background in design and business has led her to become published in over 20 magazines, newspapers, and blogs for her insight into women pioneering the business world. She is an awarded public speaker for her entrepreneurial accolades and has been a guest speaker for MBA business classes, start-up programs, and podcasts. Jessica is an avid philanthropist and has supported many causes, including the ASPCA, Breast Cancer Awareness, and the Loggerhead Marine Life center. She is a parent to 7-year-old Kennedy and 9-year-old Blake. She enjoys reading, writing, cooking, traveling, interior design, antiquing, and going on walks with her mini sheepadoodle, Lulu.

Danielle

Danielle Cook

Spa Director

Danielle has held numerous positions working in the art and design world, including working with Architectural Digest AD100 top designers and the Cannes Film Festival. Danielle recently worked for a Music and Technology startup, collaborating with Atlantic Records and Crypto tech companies. She transitioned into the MedSpa world after moving to Rhode Island from California. Danielle has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. During her free time, she can be found backcountry camping, hiking, surfing, singing to Taylor Swift, and documenting her travels on her vintage Pentax 35mm camera. ZO Gentle Cleanser and Exfoliating Polish are Danielle’s skincare favorites. 

Patient Care Coordinator

Dee is a Patient Care Coordinator with a vast background in Health and Wellness. She graduated from The University of Rhode Island with her Bachelor’s degree in English, Summa Cum Laude. Dee spent the early part of her career working in a physical therapy office and is a certified personal trainer and a group exercise instructor. She also specializes in pre and post-natal exercise and wellness. A mother of two active boys, Brayden and Gavin, Dee spends her free time outdoors with her family and their mini golden doodle, Riley. During the Summer, she works as a manager at her family-owned and operated restaurant, Monahan. ZO Firming Serum and monthly Hydrafacials are a staple in Dee’s skincare outine.

Megan

Megan Perry

Board-certified Physician Assistant

Megan Perry is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a focus in achieving wellness through Integrative Medicine. Megan graduated from Springfield College with her Master of Science and Physician Assistant degree and Bachelor’s in Health Science / Pre-Physician Assistant Studies. Megan came from Queen’s Hospital in Hawaii and is currently working towards her Functional Medicine Practitioner Certification with the Institute of Functional Medicine. To Megan, the sea is her favorite form of therapy, spending as much time as possible in, on, or around the ocean with her white German Shepherd Chowder. Megan’s passion is using her knowledge in Integrative Medicine to allow others to take control of their health and wellness by focusing on root cause analysis in convention with Western medicine. Megan strives to help her patients feel confident and radiant in the skin they’re in. Megan’s favorite ZO product is retinol and her favorite treatment is microneedling.

Jessica

AESTHETIC CLINICAL NURSE LEAD/MASTER AESTHETICIAN

Jessica is a Registered Nurse specializing in aesthetics, a Licensed Master Aesthetician, and a Certified Laser Technician. She has performed advanced skincare treatments in the aesthetics industry since 2014. Nurse Jessica strives to achieve the most advanced and safest skin care treatments for her clients. She earned her aesthetics license at the Aveda Institute and continued her education at The National Laser Institute and CCRI’s Nursing program. Before pursuing aesthetics, Jessica graduated from the University of Tampa, earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Accounting.

With her diverse experience, she is motivated to engage with her clients to create custom skincare routines to optimize the client’s treatment plan. She is certified in exclusive skin care lines, as well as Hydrafacial, dermaplaning, chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, EMsculpt, and facial injectables. Jessica has a strong passion and love for the industry, and her goal is to achieve optimal results for clients while making them feel like the best version of themselves.

Megan Giec

Physicians Assistant + Wellness and integrative Medicine

Megan received her Master’s Degree in Health Service as a Physicians Assistant from Springfield College and is licensed in Rhode Island and Hawaii. She is currently working towards her Functional Medicine Practitioner Certification with the Institute of Functional Medicine. Megan has a passion for wellness and integrative medicine and joined the SeaMist team after moving from Hawaii, where she worked at Queens Hospital in Traumatic Wound Care. You can find Megan in the water, surfing, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors during her free time. Megan can’t live without “The Fountain of Youth,” ZO Retinol, and Microneedling.

Kayla

Kayla Benton

Aesthetic Nurse Injector

Kayla graduated from the University of Rhode Island as part of the Honor Society with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She worked as a Student Nurse Associate at Newport Hospital and went on to work as a full-time Registered Nurse there. Kayla was part of the Medical-Surgical Nursing team in the float pool. She found her calling in Labor and Delivery and Women’s health, leading her to work at SeaMist. As our Biote Hormone Specialist, Kayla works with patients, both male, and female, one on one to target hormone imbalances and determine personal wellness first care plans with BHRT. A mother of two daughters, Kinsley and Sloan, she spends her free time with her family, her husband, and their dog Tacoma. Kayla is a certified spin instructor and enjoys being active and working out. ZO Exfoliating polish and IPL are Kaylas SeaMist favorites.

Rachel

Rachel Gilman

Aesthetic Nurse Injector

Rachel graduated top of her class at Quinnipiac University with a BA of Science in Nursing. As a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nurses, she was also on the dean’s list all four years. Rachel completed her certification from the National Laser Institute in both laser education use and cosmetic injectables. She worked in the ICU as a Student Nurse at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital throughout the Covid pandemic and in the Neurology Unit. As a Registered Nurse, Rachel worked in the Oncology Medical Surgical Unit before joining the
SeaMist Team. Some of Rachel’s favorite hobbies are spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, whether it be hiking or kayaking, and traveling. Rachel can’t live without Laser Hair Removal or Is Clinical ProHeal.

Alexis

Alexis Collins

Lead Body Contouring Specialist/ LMA

BODY CONTOURING SPECIALIST

Alexis is a Rhode Island Licensed Medical Aesthetician and our Lead Body Contouring specialist. She found her passion for medical aesthetics early in her adult life and has been working in the industry to help all patients achieve their best possible results ever since. After obtaining her medical aesthetics license at The Aveda Institute, she attended The National Laser Institute, where she trained and became certified in lasers and microneedling. She continued her education further and has become certified in CoolSculpting, Hydrafacial, chemical peels, dermaplaning, medical grade skin care, EMsculpt, and EMsculpt NEO. Alexis’s specialization in body contouring began with her passion for helping others feel more comfortable and confident in their own skin. She has graduated from CoolSculpting University’s Master course, completed thousands of successful CoolSculpting treatments throughout her career, and is now Rhode Island’s only Allergan Medical Institute Faculty Trainer, where she teaches other practicing technicians throughout the country how they can perfect their CoolSculpting techniques. Alexis combines the multiple modalities we provide in our practice for body contouring to achieve optimal patient results. Her experience, as well as her patient reviews throughout her career, have proven that she is the best lead body contouring specialist for each patient to optimize their experience, goals, body contouring education, and, most importantly results.
Alexis is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician and our Body Contouring specialist. She found her passion for medical aesthetics early in life and has been working in the industry to help her clients to achieve their best results. After obtaining her aesthetics license, she attended The National Laser Institute and has trained and certified in lasers, Hydrafacial, chemical peels, as well as microneedling. Alexis now focuses on the specialization of body contouring. She has graduated from CoolSculpting University’s Master course and over the years has completed thousands of CoolSculpting treatments. Alexis combines multiple modalities for body sculpting including EMsculpt for muscle toning and skin tightening techniques. Her patient care and expertise make for a wonderful patient experience!

Kelly

Kelly Ottney

Licensed Medical Aesthetician

BODY CONTOURING SPECIALIST

With over 15 years of experience, Kelly is our lead LMA. Kelly is certified in Hydrafacials, ZO Skincare Facials, and her newest accolade is being IS Clinical Cancer Care certified. This unique Cancer Care certification allows Kelly to provide care to combat the physical and emotional challenges of patients dealing with cancer and radiation at every stage of their cancer journey. A mother of four girls, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and building her homestead, which currently boasts chickens and a garden. RF Micro and ZO Wrinkle + Texture are Kelly’s favorites at SeaMist.

Madison

Madison Jones

Patient Care Coordinator, LMA, LMT

Madison is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician and Licensed Massage Therapist. A Louisiana native with a love for social media, Madison joined the Seamist team as Patient Care Coordinator and was quick to expand her roles. Madison spends her free time with her husband, working out on her beloved Peloton Tread and furthering her education on all things wellness. Madison is ZO Growth Factor Eyes number one fan, and her favorite SeaMist treatment is Microneedling.

Allyson

Allyson LaRoche

Patient Care Coordinator

Allyson grew up in New Hampshire and graduated top of her class in the NH American Red Cross Nursing Assistant Program. She has completed the Phlebotomy and EKG program at Healthcare Services Inc, and before her role here at SeaMist worked in the Oncology Unit at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Allyson has volunteered at basketball clinics and soup kitchens worldwide. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading (her favorite book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin), and all things outdoors. Zo Dual Action Scrub and Fractura are her favorite SeaMist products and treatments.

Cammy

DIRECTOR OF PATIENT EXPERIENCE

Cammy is the Director of Patient Experience, and when you visit SeaMist Medspa, you’ll be warmly greeted by Cammy. She oversees day-to-day operational functions for the front desk and ensures each patient has a positive and memorable experience. Cammy graduated from UConn in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Following her college education, Cammy worked as an Emergency room technician at the Level 1 Trauma Center at Hartford Hospital. Cammy is also a certified Coolsculpting specialist. Cammy currently resides in Rhode Island.

Taylor

Taylor Watson

Patient Care Coordinator

Taylor is a current University of Rhode Island student majoring in Economics, Political Science, and Psychology with a minor in International Development. She is part of the school honor program and contributes to the peace corps. A Connecticut native, Taylor is an avid yoga
enthusiast, travel lover, and exceptional cook. The Zo platinum facial and ZO Complexion Renewal Pads are Taylor must-haves.
