Dr. Simpson is the CEO, physician, and medical director of SeaMist MedSpa and Wellness. As a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), Dr. Simpson is dedicated to her practice of medicine and developing unique, long-lasting relationships with her clients. Dr. Simpson is passionate about involving her patients in their own care and educating them about their overall health and wellness. This relationship solidifies trust and helps clients to achieve their ideal results.
For over 20 years, Dr. Simpson has been treating patients in Rhode Island. She now continues to provide an individualized and reassuring approach to aesthetic medicine by using the most sophisticated, cutting-edge technologies and advanced medical techniques. Her goal is to help women and men with aging gracefully and naturally by customizing a personalized treatment plan that best meets the patient’s needs.
Now, as the owner and physician Medical Director at SeaMist MedSpa and Wellness, with much focus on preventative care, hormone optimization, facial balancing, and body contouring, Dr. Simpson uses techniques involving multiple modalities to help women and men achieve their best re-vitalizing results. With her natural artistic eye and medical expertise, Dr. Simpson will create a treatment plan to help clients become their best selves. Along with a professionally trained team of nurses and physician associates, SeaMist MedSpa and Wellness has grown to include a more holistic, bespoke approach to beauty with the addition of a functional medicine-based wellness services and experiences redefining outer and inner self-care for everyone.

Laura joined SeaMist after wearing multiple hats as a professional over the years. Most notably, she comes to SeaMist with over 20 years in hospitality and management and owns her own small business in her local hometown. Laura graduated from Rhode Island College with a double Bachelor’s in Education and Marketing. She utilized her Education degree in an Early Childhood Classroom for many years but ultimately decided her passion was business management and entrepreneurship. Besides running her Ice Cream Shop, Laura enjoys traveling, baking, and relaxing with her pug, Stella.

Lara is one of our Patient Care Coordinators as well as a trusted licensed medical aesthetician and skincare expert. With over a decade of experience in facial rejuvenation and advanced corrective treatments, she is devoted to finding the most effective technologies and alternative methods for attaining and maintaining healthy skin. Her approach is comprehensive, addressing the overall health of your skin. She specializes in customized skin balancing facials, Hydrafacials, Gua Sha facial massage and chemical peels. She is passionate about guiding you toward long-term solutions for your skin concerns to ensure you live each day in your best.
Patient Care Coordinator
Dee is a Patient Care Coordinator with a vast background in Health and Wellness. She graduated from The University of Rhode Island with her Bachelor’s degree in English, Summa Cum Laude. Dee spent the early part of her career working in a physical therapy office and is a certified personal trainer and a group exercise instructor. She also specializes in pre and post-natal exercise and wellness. A mother of two active boys, Brayden and Gavin, Dee spends her free time outdoors with her family and their mini golden doodle, Riley. During the Summer, she works as a manager at her family-owned and operated restaurant, Monahan. ZO Firming Serum and monthly Hydrafacials are a staple in Dee’s skincare outine.
Megan Perry is a Functional and Integrative Medicine provider who is passionate about personalized and integrated medical care. She focuses with her patients on achieving optimal health by identifying and treating the root cause of disease and symptoms. Megan holds degrees from Springfield College and continued her studies through The Institute of Functional Medicine. Megan is a strong advocate of empowering her patients and believes that true health and vitality encompasses the mind, body and spirit.
Megan came to us from Queen’s Hospital in Hawaii. To Megan, the sea is her favorite form of therapy, spending as much time as possible in, on, or around the ocean with her white German Shepherd Chowder. Megan strives to help her patients feel confident and radiant in the skin they’re in. Megan’s favorite ZO product is AOX Illuminating Serum and her favorite treatment is PRP.

Megan graduated from Springfield College with her Master of Science and Physician Assistant degree and Bachelor’s in Health Science / Pre-Physician Assistant Studies. Megan came from Queen’s Hospital in Hawaii and is currently working towards her Functional Medicine Practitioner Certification with the Institute of Functional Medicine. To Megan, the sea is her favorite form of therapy, spending as much time as possible in, on, or around the ocean with her white German Shepherd Chowder. Megan’s passion is using her knowledge in Integrative Medicine to allow others to take control of their health and wellness by focusing on root cause analysis in convention with Western medicine. Megan strives to help her patients feel confident and radiant in the skin they’re in. Megan’s favorite ZO product is retinol and her favorite treatment is microneedling.
Megan received her Master’s Degree in Health Service as a Physicians Assistant from Springfield College and is licensed in Rhode Island and Hawaii. She is currently working towards her Functional Medicine Practitioner Certification with the Institute of Functional Medicine. Megan has a passion for wellness and integrative medicine and joined the SeaMist team after moving from Hawaii, where she worked at Queens Hospital in Traumatic Wound Care. You can find Megan in the water, surfing, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors during her free time. Megan can’t live without “The Fountain of Youth,” ZO Retinol, and Microneedling.
Kayla graduated from the University of Rhode Island as part of the Honor Society with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She worked as a Student Nurse Associate at Newport Hospital and went on to work as a full-time Registered Nurse there. Kayla was part of the Medical-Surgical Nursing team in the float pool. She found her calling in Labor and Delivery and Women’s health, leading her to work at SeaMist. As our Biote Hormone Specialist, Kayla works with patients, both male, and female, one on one to target hormone imbalances and determine personal wellness first care plans with BHRT. A mother of two daughters, Kinsley and Sloan, she spends her free time with her family, her husband, and their dog Tacoma. Kayla is a certified spin instructor and enjoys being active and working out. ZO Exfoliating polish and IPL are Kaylas SeaMist favorites.
Rachel graduated top of her class at Quinnipiac University with a BA of Science in Nursing. As a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nurses, she was also on the dean’s list all four years. Rachel completed her certification from the National Laser Institute in both laser education use and cosmetic injectables. She worked in the ICU as a Student Nurse at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital throughout the Covid pandemic and in the Neurology Unit. As a Registered Nurse, Rachel worked in the Oncology Medical Surgical Unit before joining the
SeaMist Team. Some of Rachel’s favorite hobbies are spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, whether it be hiking or kayaking, and traveling. Rachel can’t live without Laser Hair Removal or Is Clinical ProHeal.
With over 15 years of experience, Kelly is our lead LMA. Kelly is certified in Hydrafacials, ZO Skincare Facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, medical grade skincare, and her newest accolade is being IS Clinical Cancer Care certified. This unique Cancer Care certification allows Kelly to provide care to combat the physical and emotional challenges of patients dealing with cancer and radiation at every stage of their cancer journey. A mother of four girls, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and building her homestead, which currently boasts chickens and a garden. RF Micro and ZO Wrinkle + Texture are Kelly’s favorites at SeaMist.

Taylor is a current University of Rhode Island student majoring in Economics, Political Science, and Psychology with a minor in International Development. She is part of the school honor program and contributes to the peace corps. A Connecticut native, Taylor is an avid yoga
enthusiast, travel lover, and exceptional cook. The Zo platinum facial and ZO Complexion Renewal Pads are Taylor must-haves.
Skylar is a Business Administration Graduate from the University of Rhode Island who joined SeaMist in 2023! She spent the beginning part of her career in Real Estate and eventually transitioned to the SeaMist team as Patient Care Coordinator.
Skylar’s passions include being active, boating, and spending time with her family and friends. She is also an avid foodie and Matunuck Oyster Bar is her favorite RI restaurant.
