Dr. Simpson is the CEO, physician, and Medical Director of SeaMist Medical and Wellness Spa. A Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), Dr. Simpson is deeply committed to both her medical practice and cultivating lasting relationships with her clients. She is passionate about empowering patients through education and active involvement in their care, fostering trust that leads to optimal outcomes.
With over 20 years of experience treating patients in Rhode Island, Dr. Simpson continues to offer an individualized, compassionate approach to aesthetic medicine. She utilizes the latest advancements in technology and medical techniques to help clients age gracefully and naturally. By crafting personalized treatment plans, she ensures that each patient’s unique needs are met.
Dr. Simpson emphasizes a focus on preventative care, hormone optimization and facial balancing. Through the use of multiple modalities, she helps both women and men achieve revitalizing, transformative results. With her refined artistic eye and medical expertise, Dr. Simpson creates bespoke treatment plans designed to bring out the best in each client.
In collaboration with a skilled team of nurses and Physician Associates, SeaMist Medical and Wellness Spa has expanded to offer a holistic, functional medicine approach to beauty and well-being. Spa Director
With over 15 years of experience in the aesthetic industry, Lara serves as our Spa Director, bringing a wealth of expertise and a genuine passion for client care. Her extensive background in aesthetic treatments, paired with her dedication to fostering strong client relationships, enables her to create a welcoming and supportive environment. At SeaMist MedSpa, Lara is committed to delivering exceptional care, ensuring that every visit is both a positive and empowering experience.
Helena is a 2023 graduate of Salve Regina University, where she earned her degree in Business with a minor in Marketing. Driven by a lifelong passion for skincare and beauty—one that started at just four years old—she pursued her dream by attending esthetician school in Rochester, NY, graduating in January 2025. Helena is excited to continue growing in the esthetics industry and is committed to expanding her skills, knowledge, and impact in the field.
Jessica is a Registered Nurse specializing in aesthetics, a Licensed Master Aesthetician, and a Certified Laser Technician with over a decade of experience in advanced skincare treatments. Since 2014, Nurse Jessica has been dedicated to providing the safest and most effective skincare solutions for her clients. She earned her aesthetics license at the Aveda Institute, followed by advanced education at The National Laser Institute and CCRI’s Nursing program. Before transitioning to aesthetics, Jessica graduated from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Accounting.
Drawing on her diverse background, Jessica is committed to working closely with clients to develop personalized skincare routines that complement their treatment plans. She is certified in a variety of exclusive skincare lines and advanced techniques, including Hydrafacial, dermaplaning, chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, EMsculpt, and facial injectables. With a true passion for the industry, Jessica is focused on delivering optimal results, ensuring that each client feels confident and radiant as the best version of themselves.
Kayla is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and was inducted into the Honor Society. She began her career as a Student Nurse Associate at Newport Hospital and later transitioned to a full-time Registered Nurse, where she contributed to the Medical-Surgical Nursing team in the float pool. It was during her time there that Kayla discovered her passion for Labor and Delivery and Women’s Health, ultimately leading her to SeaMist.
As our Biote Hormone Specialist, Kayla works closely with both male and female patients to address hormone imbalances and create personalized wellness care plans using Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). A devoted mother to two daughters, Kinsley and Sloan, Kayla enjoys spending her free time with her family, including her husband and their dog, Tacoma. She is also a certified spin instructor and stays active through regular workouts. Kayla’s SeaMist favorites include the ZO Exfoliating Polish and IPL treatments.
Rachel graduated at the top of her class from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nurses, she was also named to the Dean’s List each of her 4 years. Rachel furthered her expertise by earning certifications from the National Laser Institute in both laser treatments and cosmetic injectables.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rachel worked as a Student Nurse in the ICU at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, also gaining experience in the Neurology Unit. After earning her RN designation, she continued her work in the Oncology Medical-Surgical Unit before joining the SeaMist team.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors through hiking and kayaking, and traveling. Her SeaMist favorites include Laser Hair Removal and iS Clinical ProHeal.
Alexis is a Rhode Island Licensed Medical Aesthetician and our Lead Body Contouring Specialist. She discovered her passion for medical aesthetics early in her career and has dedicated herself to helping patients achieve their best possible results ever since. After earning her medical aesthetics license at The Aveda Institute, Alexis further honed her skills at The National Laser Institute, where she became certified in lasers and microneedling. She has since expanded her expertise, earning certifications in CoolSculpting, Hydrafacial, chemical peels, dermaplaning, medical-grade skincare, EMsculpt, and EMsculpt NEO.
Specializing in body contouring, Alexis’s passion lies in helping clients feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin. She has completed CoolSculpting University’s Master Course and performed thousands of successful CoolSculpting treatments throughout her career. Alexis is currently Rhode Island’s only Allergan Medical Institute Faculty Trainer, where she teaches fellow technicians nationwide how to perfect their CoolSculpting techniques.
By integrating multiple modalities offered at SeaMist MedSpa, Alexis ensures optimal results for each patient. Her extensive experience, combined with glowing patient reviews, makes her the ideal lead body contouring specialist to guide patients through their treatment journey—focusing on personalized care, education, and achieving the best possible outcomes.
With over 15 years of experience, Kelly serves as our Lead Licensed Medical Aesthetician (LMA). She is certified in a variety of advanced treatments, including Hydrafacials, ZO Skincare Facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, medical-grade skincare, and most recently, IS Clinical Cancer Care. This specialized certification enables Kelly to provide compassionate care to patients navigating the physical and emotional challenges of cancer and radiation, offering support at every stage of their journey.
A devoted mother of four girls, Kelly enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, and cultivating her homestead, which currently features chickens and a flourishing garden. Her favorite treatments at SeaMist include RF Microneedling and ZO Wrinkle + Texture Repair.
Dee is a Patient Care Coordinator with an extensive background in Health and Wellness. She graduated from The University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor’s degree in English, Summa Cum Laude. Dee began her career in a physical therapy office and is also a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor, specializing in pre and post-natal exercise and wellness.
A proud mother of two active boys, Brayden and Gavin, Dee enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her family and their miniature golden doodles, Riley and Bruno. During the summer, she works at her family-owned restaurant, Monahans.
ZO Firming Serum and monthly Hydrafacials are staples in Dee’s skincare routine.
Taylor graduated in May of 2024 from the University of Rhode Island with majors in Economics, Political Science, and Psychology, along with a minor in International Development. She was a member of the school’s honors program and completed her Peace Corps Preparation Certification. A Connecticut native, Taylor is an avid yoga enthusiast, travel lover, and exceptional cook.
The ZO Platinum Facial and ZO Complexion Renewal Pads are Taylor’s must-haves.
Skylar is a Business Administration graduate from the University of Rhode Island who joined the SeaMist team in 2023. She began her career in real estate before transitioning to her role as Patient Care Coordinator with us.
Skylar is passionate about staying active, boating, and spending quality time with her family and friends. An avid foodie, she loves dining at Matunuck Oyster Bar, her favorite Rhode Island restaurant.

Lily is currently in the Nursing Program at the University of Rhode Island. She is entering her third year and plans to work in aesthetics when she graduates.
Lily is very passionate about school, staying active, working, and spending quality time with her loved ones. As she’s from Rhode Island, Lily’s favorite spots are Camp Cronin and Block Island.
Juliette is a dedicated medical assistant to Dr. Simpson, bringing a strong academic foundation and a genuine passion for patient care to her role. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology, which has equipped her with a deep understanding of both the physical and emotional aspects of healthcare. Juliette has experience working in dermatology and has always been passionate about skincare and aesthetics, finding fulfillment in helping individuals feel confident and empowered in their own skin. Her compassionate approach, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence make her a valued member of any clinical team. Outside of work, Juliette enjoys spending time at the beach and caring for her two beloved dogs.
Susan, a board certified AGAC (Adult Gerontology Acute Care) Nurse Practitioner, is the newest addition to the SeaMist team.
Graduating from the hospital based Saint Joseph School of Nursing program in 2009 she began her career as an ICU nurse at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital while continuing her education. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New England Institute of Technology she went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner specialization from Rhode Island College in 2012. After graduation Susan took a position as a Hospitalist provider at Fatima Hospital where she worked for over 5 years.
Given her passion for health, wellness, skincare and preventative medicine, Susan was naturally drawn to Aesthetic Medicine and ultimately made the transition in 2025 on a full time basis. Currently she is completing the Biote certification in order to provide bioidential hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) to address symptom management and improved quality of life. Her free time is spent with her active 11 year old son, Rocco.
