Vascular lesions are visible red, blue, or purple veins that typically appear on the face and legs. While they are generally not painful, they are smaller than varicose veins and can be a cosmetic concern. The GentleMax Pro® effectively treats these lesions by using precise short pulses of light energy to target and destroy the blood vessels responsible for the condition, thereby eliminating the unwanted veins. To ensure comfort during treatment, the device features a cooling system that delivers a liquid coolant onto the skin before and after each laser pulse, protecting the surrounding tissue. This cooling system can be tailored to meet your specific needs.

What steps must be taken before the procedure?
Before your GentleMax Pro® treatment for vascular lesions, it’s recommended to avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks, as tanning can increase the risk of complications. You should also refrain from using blood-thinning medications, like aspirin or ibuprofen, for a few days prior to your session. Be sure to share any skin conditions, allergies, or medications with your provider, as this will help customize the treatment for you. Finally, arrive with clean, makeup-free skin to ensure the best possible results.
What should I expect during and after the procedure?
The GentleMax Pro® lasers feature a unique, integrated skin cooling system, making the treatment highly tolerable for most patients. Some may feel a sensation similar to an elastic band being snapped against the skin during the procedure. You can typically resume normal activities immediately after each session, although you may be given specific aftercare instructions, such as avoiding sun exposure or abrasive skin cleansers for a few days. Any redness or swelling that may occur post-treatment usually resolves within a few hours.
