After doing some research or maybe talking to some friends who’ve had it done, you’ve found yourself on the fence about taking the plunge into laser hair removal. Believe it or not, even after all your research, there may be a few things that can still surprise you about laser hair removal treatments. We’ve developed a quick list of these to help you decide if laser hair removal is right for you:
1. It’s not as expensive as you may think
Many years ago, when laser hair removal was a new treatment, it was primarily reserved for the wealthy. Having small areas of the body treated typically cost thousands of dollars. This notion has seemingly stuck, and there is a big misconception that laser hair removal is still today a very expensive procedure. The truth is, depending on what your goals and your budget, treatments have become very affordable.
2. It’s not that painful
You may be concerned that laser hair removal is uncomfortable, or even worse, painful. Many clients seem to agree that laser hair removal can have some discomfort, and although not necessarily enjoyable, worth the discomfort in the long run.
3. It doesn’t take that long
In fact, most laser hair removal appointments are very short, not lasting longer than 20 minutes or so in some cases. You’ll have to have repeat treatments over the course of several weeks in order to get lasting results; however, you won’t have a lot of time eaten out of your day by each appointment. This is a big plus if you are always on the go.
4. It may be more effective and permanent for some more than others
Even if you’ve heard of a friend of a friend who has had laser hair removal and they weren’t 100% satisfied with the results, the same may not hold true for you. Results can vary based on the tone of your skin or hair. Typically, if you have very dark hair and light skin, the better the results you will experience.
